 Day 29

Catching up with dear old friends.  No facebook messages, no texts or voicemails, just old school typewriter.

Day 28

Popcorn + Planet Earth. Nice.

Day 27

Where to go next....hmmmm...I don't know if it was a smart idea to put a map in my room. The possibilities are endless.

Day 26

Unfortunately it is rather blurry, but I liked the idea.

Day 25

President Obama's State of the Union Address.

Day 24

Kitchen wonders.

Day 23 January 23, 2011

My hand at baking. I'm trying to make healthy chocolate chip cookies and I think I did quite well to say the least.  At least that's what I keep telling myself.  Either way, they were edible which is always good.

Day 22

Lunch at Wolfgang's in East town with Sylvie, Mark, Aaron, and Heather, followed by a rather interesting experience at the antique shop across the way.  A beautiful snowy afternoon though.

Day 21

Day 20

This is where the magic happens.  Okay, maybe not magic, but this is where I spend the majority of my life during the week.

 Day 19

Currently we have an installation in WMCAT that was done by Mark Ramsey.  Stretched out it reaches a mile in length.

Day 18

I know it's supposed to be black and white this month, but I love the red of these berries amongst the whiteness of winter.

Day 17

On my walk to work in the morning. I'm hoping to take some better pictures of this later, but my hands were going numb so I had to move on....

Day 16

It's my addictive personality coming out. I love blackjack! Oh Korea, what did you do to me...

Day 15

Time seems to be melting away.  Slow down please.

Day 14

Backyard Beauty.

Day 13

 New Perspective.

Day 12

"There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens..."  Ecc.3

Day 11

Life Continues. Bring it on :)

The sad day has arrived.  Enda leaves. January 10 Day 10

Even though it was sad to see Enda leave, we had a great journey on the Amtrak and made the most out of the time we still had left together.

Day 9

A little FYI. Remember, you should always maintain a distance of 6 feet between the toilet and where you brush. The air borne particles from the flush can travel up to 6 feet!!! Ahhh!!!

And Don't forget to floss!

Day 8

After a little pre-game food/drinks, Veronica, Enda, and myself headed to the Palace to meet some friends and watch the game.  After the amazing win against the 76ers we went bar hoping around time.  Great craic all together.

Day 7

Peeking around the pillar.

January 6, Day 6

Taking a break from the intense Scrabble game to enjoy a quick pic.

Here we go 2011....

Day 5

A great afternoon of looking at Apple computers, eating at TGIF's and ending up at Uccello's to watch a Arsenal/Man City game.   Unfortunately the game wasn't that entertaining but hey, what do ya do.

Day 4 (Okay, I'm not as ambitious anymore. Down to 1 photo)

After watching The King of Kong, a documentary about people competing for the World Records on Arcade games, and attempting to play it on our pc's (which was rubbish), a few of us headed to a local arcade/bar to see what potential we had.  I believe Teresa and I get too stressed out while playing arcade games. As for Aaron and Enda, they might have some hope.

Day 3

On our way back from a great night at Graydon's Enda and I decided to make some friendly greetings for my roommates.

 Day 2

I'm on a roll! Here we go! 2 more pics for day 2!

So this is my first season of running in the snow.  So far no major accidents, but winters in Michigan last a long time....

Our family portrait. Happy Holidays from the Union House (and Galway, Ireland)!

January Theme:

This year I decided I wanted a more structured 365 project and decided  to pick a different theme for each month.   Each theme will be a skill that I want to work on, so this month I chose Black and White.   I hope you enjoy the blog as I embark on a new photography journey through 2011.

Day 1 January 1, 2011

To bring in the New Years, a group of us went out to Mangiamos! and then headed to the Wiechel's for some drinks and snacks. We brought in the New Year with Dick Clark and the New Kids on the Block....2011 should be interesting to say the least.

Since this is the new year I figure I'll start big by uploading 2 pics for the day :) Ambitious, I know.  The second picture is taken while watching the Griffins play, our local hockey team (and fittingly also my boyfriends last name). We went with some friends who were more than willing to fill Enda (and myself) in on the rules of hockey, and explain why there are so many fights and why the refs don't break them up until they are laying on the ice....It was a cultural experience for Enda to say the least.....
